Too Good To Be True

Dear Santa,

All I want for Christmas in 2006 is for this movie to be widely distributed in the US right before the '06 congressional elections.

American soldiers in Iraq crash a wedding and pump a little boy full of lead in front of his mother. They kill dozens of innocent people with random machine gun fire, shoot the groom in the head, and drag those left alive to Abu Ghraib prison - here a Jewish doctor cuts out their organs, which he sells to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv. . .The movie's American stars are Billy Zane, who plays a self-professed "peacekeeper sent by God," and Gary Busey as the Jewish-American doctor.

I don't really blame Busey for this. He lost most of his brain in a motorcycle accident a few years ago.

UPDATE: Someone should have a talk with the producers of this movie. If it had been shown back in December for even one show in one theater in the US it would have been eligible for this years Academy Awards.

UPDATE II: A friend sent me a link to this film's website here. He notes the fact that this picture's popularity in Turkey must mean that the average "Turk in the street" must hate us even though we are supposed to be allies. Well, why should they be different from the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and every other country in NATO (except the new members in Eastern Europe who still remember being under the heel of the USSR). As Teddy Roosevelt observed at the beginning of the last century other nations will hate us and may even fear us, but they will never like us.
