Carter hoists his true colors

From The American Thinker:

Jimmy Carter out of the anti-Zionist closet

Jimmy Carter is out of the anti-Zionist closet. In a column in the Pakistan Daily Times entitled “Colonisation of Palestine precludes peace” Carter writes

“The pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel’s colonisation of Palestine…”

To be sure, he ends his column by calling for recognition for Israel by the Palestinians, but Carter cannot possibly misunderstand what “colonization of Palestine” means to Hamas, Iran, and Bin Laden. It means the existence of Israel anywhere in what was once called Palestine. That is a deliberate ambiguity, as Carter knows perfectly well. It plays to the most extreme factions, while allowing sly Ole Jimmy to deny that he is calling for ethnic cleansing of Tel Aviv.

If Jimmy Carter had never been President of the United States and had not spent the past 25 years writing and speaking about geopolitics and Middle Eastern affairs it would be possible to assume that he suffered from a kind of extreme naiveté. However he has been President of the United States and has spent the past 25 years writing and speaking about geopolitics and Middle Eastern affairs. Therefore it is impossible to assign him anything other than evil motives.

It would be tempting to think that he is simply an idiot who is doing the best he can with very limited intellectual firepower, however one does not become a nuclear power technician on a nuclear submarine in the US Navy, a millionaire businessman, governor of Georgia, and President of the United States by being a drooling moron.

Mr. Carter has all the information that anyone needs at his disposal to come to a correct conclusion about the source of violence in the Middle East and he possesses the intellectual capability to process that information. He simply refuses to do so. This is an act of willful blindness amounting to deliberately chosen evil.

Mr. Carter places himself on the side of savages who saw the heads off of innocent hostages. He places himself in the company of suicide bombers blowing themselves up among Israeli schoolchildren. He aligns himself with Saddam Hussein’s vile sons as they feed their enemies through industrial shredding machines and walk through the elementary school classroom to select which twelve-year-old girl that they are going to rape and murder for that evening’s entertainment.

He does this consciously and with full knowledge. This makes him evil.
