I just watched Sci-Fi’s new Doctor Who series. It is the Dr. Who with a bit of tinkering with the backstory. He is now the last Time Lord, the others having been killed in a war which also destroyed Gallefery (home world of the Time Lords).
I liked it. It keeps the storytelling style of the original Dr. Who but with a bigger budget and better special effects. The only thing missing is K-9 (and that’s a good thing).
Apparently Sci-Fi is going to run it until the new Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis episodes start in July.
I saw that on the guide while tubing around tonite. I didn't read the details so I thought it was the old stuff.
ReplyDeleteNow I know better. Just might check it out.

ReplyDeleteCookie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. I liked your site.
As an old fan of Who, I might very well even turn on the TV to do more than watch some DVD's and catch this. Couldn't hurt, right? And I know damned well you wouldn't tell anyone.
ReplyDeleteIf you like old Who you will like the new Who as well.
ReplyDeleteThey really kept the feel of the old show while putting the bigger budget and expanded timeslot to good use. The only thing I'll miss is the cliffhangers.
