Good/Bad news

From Rasmussen Reports:

May 15, 2006--Ohio Congressman Sherrod Brown (D) holds a three-point lead over incumbent Senator Mike DeWine (R).

Brown is up 44% to 41% and that's the first time he's been ahead in any of the six Ohio polls Rasmussen Reports has conducted for Election 2006 (see crosstabs).

The 44% level of support for Brown is his highest of the season. DeWine has lost ground in four straight polls since peaking at 46% in mid-February.

This is not good news for RINO Senator DeWine. However it may be very good news for the Republican Party in the long run. You will observe in the post below that DeWine was one of the senators who voted to commit treason by selling out on illegal immigration. He is also one of evil John McCain's little butt boys who kept the Senate from changing the rules on judicial confirmations. A move which allows the Democrats to continue to threaten to filibuster originalist judges.

If DeWine is made to pay a price for his backstabbing it will send a message to the party that traitors will be dealt with.

The House of Representatives must stay in Republican hands at all costs. The Senate we can lose for one election cycle without harm if it means getting a better Republican Party in trade.
