Defending the Blond One

I just read a good post on The American Thinker about the liberal criticism of Ann Coulter's remarks about the so called "Jersey Girls". Four 9/11 widows who have been relentless in their condemnation of President Bush, going so far as to become political operatives on behalf of John Kerry during the last election.

The author of the piece quotes some of the rhetoric of the left about the President:

Some on the left have referred to the president as a mass-murderer and called him "Hitler," statements that only serve to give our enemies a sense of justification for putting our soldiers in their crosshairs. While those troops face mortal danger every minute of every day, pusillanimous senators like Ted Kennedy add to their peril by telling the world that the war in Iraq was "a fraud, made up in Texas to give Republicans a political boost."

This is compared with Ms. Coulter's statements about the "Jersey Girls":

"These self-obsessed women seemed genuinely unaware that 9/11 was an attack on our nation and acted as if the terrorist attacks happened only to them " These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much."

It would seem that the Blond One is only giving the left a dose of their own medicine, with the singular difference that what she says about them is true.

Now I am not in the least upset by the statements of the liberals in response to Ann. As G. Gordon Liddy says, "one does not become angry with a dog for relieving itself in the middle of the road that is what dogs do". Likewise I do not become outraged when the left acts in a way hypocritical, dishonest, foolish, mean-spirited, arrogant, and condescending or otherwise lacking in any common human decency. That, after all, is what liberals do.

What does frost me is the legion of prissy “me-too” conservative poltroons running to the nearest microphone or word processor to heap their own condemnations on Ms. Coulter. Are these abject losers that eager for a pat on the head from the mainstream media? Does the treatment that John McCain gets from the establishment look so good that these “conservatives” can’t resist bending over and grabbing their ankles for a little favorable attention from CNN?

Listen up. I’m only going to say this once. ANN IS RIGHT!!! EVERYTHING SHE SAYS ABOUT THE “JERSEY GIRLS” IS DEAD ON ACCURATE! IT IS NO SIN TO TELL THE TRUTH!

The Left is screeching so loudly because the Bloody Shirt is one of their most effective weapons. Ann is taking it away from them. Helping the left marginalize Ann is the equivalent of an American president doing something appallingly treasonous like selling our most secret nuclear technology to a likely enemy like Red China. An act so vile that even Bill Clinton would never have contemplated it. Oh, wait. What’s that? . . . Never mind.
