Denying our way to our graves

Debbie Hamilton who blogs at Right Truth has an excellent post up called Denial of radical Islam will be the death of us:

We are living in a world where 'terrorists' are viewed as 'victims'; where unlimited immigration of anyone from anywhere is the goal; where Christianity becomes the enemy to be removed from all places; where "pacifists, anti-racists, radical Marxists, anarchists, anti-Blairits, anti-Bushites and others of varying degrees of conviction and opportunism who see any attempt by the state to try to limit the incidence of terrorism as an assault on civil rights."

We are in denial. We fail to secure our borders. We allow radical clerics free reign to preach jihad, yet we try to snuff out Christianity. Our love of freedom is used against us. If we speak out against radical Islam we are racist and Islamophobs. Political correctness is becoming the 'norm'.

She is absolutely right. The contemptible hissy fit some are throwing about the video of a Marine singing a song called Hadji Girl (the link takes you to Michelle Malkin's post with a link to the video). For any of you who might not have heard the song is about an attractive Iraqi girl who lures a Marine into an ambush set by her father and brothers. The Marine, being a Marine, shoots his way out and emerges unharmed. The line, "Durka Durka, Mohammad Jihad" (from the movie Team America woven into the song.

Now there is nothing racist about the song. It is about an American serviceman who is attacked by terrorist fanatics and defends himself, and besides that it's a damned joke!

Stop. Step back and take a look at the situation. There is a strong push on to ruin the careers of some Marines for blowing off a little steam in a humorous way which harmed absolutely NO ONE!

If this nation allows this foolishness to stand we will frankly not deserve the sacrifices that the USMC and their brothers and sisters in the other branches of service are making for us on a daily basis.
