The Brussels Journal reminds us that this latest terror plot is likely a retread of a mid-1990's plot by al Queda called Operation Bojinka.

Bojinka was a complex operation that would have involved the assisination of Pope John-Paul II and the mid-air bombing of up to 11 airliners over the Pacific Ocean.
