Tag, I'm it

The Dowager Viscountess at White Trash Republican tagged me with this. Since I’m in a good mood due to the Ecosystem getting its fiftieth member I’ll give it a try.

One book that changed your life:
“Time Enough for Love” by Robert A Heinlein

One book that you've read more than once:
“A Free Man of Color” by Barbara Hambley, I’ve read all of her “Benjamin January” novels, the first three more than once.

One book that you would want on a desert island:
“How to Build a Boat out of Things Found on a Desert Island With The Principles of Sea Navigation”

One book that made you laugh:
"A Confederacy of Dunces” by John Kennedy Toole, this is the most truly funny book that I have ever read.

One book that made you cry:
“The Gulag Archipelago” by Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn, the account of the inmate’s revolt at the Kenger slave labor camp was heartbreaking.

One book you wish had been written:
“The Fifth Crusade: How Christian Europe Finally United to Eradicate Islam”

One book you wish had never been written:
“Silent Spring” by Rachel Carson, this book got DDT banned and condemned millions of people to death.

One book you are currently reading:
"The Mechanism of Catastrophe: The Turkish Pogrom of September 6-7 1955, and the Destruction of the Greek Community of Istanbul” by Speros Vryonis, Jr, as part of my research into Islam.

One book you have been meaning to read:
“The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” by Edward Gibbon, I have the first three volumes and will start on them as soon as I get time.

I don’t know anyone else well enough to tag them (except the people who have already been tagged by others) so I won’t.
