ABC caves

Michelle Malkin has a post up with links to all the best sources about ABC's cave to the Clinton machine's efforts to get the mini series changed so that it will no longer tell the truth about how weak Clinton was on terrorism.

Bottom line what happened is that the writers looked at all the times when the US could have captured or killed bin Laden but failed to because of the cowardice of the Clinton administration and distilled them into one fictionalized scene in which a CIA team has bin Laden's compound surrounded in Afghanistan and are refused permission by Sandy Berger.

It was a mistake to do this. Using a composite scene like this is a valid literary technique to condense and clarify a great deal of information. However the producers should have known that the Clinton administration hacks would jump on anything fictionalized and use it to attempt to discredit the entire mini series.

The Clinton team knows that they have to do everything in their power to cover up the truth about what happened, and more importantly didn’t happen, during their time in power. Bill Clinton’s legacy and their reputations depend on keeping the truth well hidden.
