Here are some shots of the Rocky Broad River. The water was up due to all the rain we've been getting.
When the water level is normal you can see a great many more of the rocks that give the river its name.
I'll try to get some better pictures by the weekend.
It isn't a tame river. This river flooded six years ago and nearly destroyed the community of Chimney Rock.
This is my favorite kind of weather, cool and cloudy with a bit of rain.
My least favorite, in fact I hate it with a passion, is hot and dry. My goal every summer is just to try and survive.
Fall is when I come alive. Wait until you see what these mountains look like when the leaves are changing.
