If you thought culture in Germany consisted of smelly Krauts sitting around bier-halls swilling down huge steins of harsh beer while eating pig intestines stuffed with blood and gore and cursing America you would not be completely correct.
Tonight's music video is from the German band Corvus Corax (Latin for Raven). Their music has been described as Punk, "Heavy Metal without guitars", "where Metal meets Medieval", Goth and neo-Celtic. I put it in the Celtic category because they use bagpipes, drums and Celtic harp, among other things.
Their new CD is called Venus, Vina, Musica, which roughly translates as "Wine, Women and Song".
Dirty Linen describes the instrumental Tuska, ". . . creaking strings and deep demonic voices, sounds like the background music that plays at the gates of hell".
I don't know if they will be your cup of tea or not, but whatever you think of them you have to admit that they sure as hell know how to put on a stage show!
