Clann an Drumma commemorating the Battle of Culloden where the English finally put down the rising of '45. After their victory they sought to eradicate the highland way of life by banning the wearing of highland dress and the speaking of Gaelic. They also sought to disarm the Scots, requiring them to surrender all claymores, muskets and bagpipes (which were considered weapons of war).
It was hoped that these measures would destroy the clan system and pacify Scotland.
Nice try, but it didn't work. The clans are still here.
