I can't swear that this is true, but callers on both the Andrew Wilkow and Mike Church shows today said that Trent Lott had the phones in all his offices in Washington DC and Mississippi off the hook today.

It would seem that he simply doesn't want to hear from the great mass of jumped up sheep that seem to have gotten the idea that he is supposed to serve them rather than the other way around.
