Mindy is backed up by some well known Celtic performers like Aly Bain and Michael McGoldrick and the song has been slowed down and given a more "Celtic" sound. Of course if Jolene were a real Celtic song Jolene would not be the local truck stop vamp. She would be the greedy wicked English queen who sent her army into Scotland or Ireland and killed the singer's husband and the other brave lads who stood up to fight for their country.
