Did you know that Air America was still on the air?

Air America (yes, its still out there on a couple of big city stations) host Randi Rhodes* launched into a bizarre tirade against Oprah and Oprah's fans on her radio show. Here is a quote:

She was blacker then Obama yesterday. Do you know what I mean? Let em tell you something. Everyone who watches Oprah, are the whitest people in the world. Yes even the black folk. Even the black men who watch Oprah are white women while they watch Oprah. We all know what we are talking about.

What Rhodes was thinking is any one's guess. Some think she was trying to help Clinton, while others just think she was suffering from a rare moment of liberal honesty. Whatever the reason for Rhodes' outburst though, can you imagine what kind of firestorm would be erupting if Ann Coulter had said those things?
