Sweet revenge!

From The Politico:

Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.), the Democratic Party's 2004 presidential nominee, will endorse Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for president in South Carolina today, Democratic sources told Politico.

Kerry is flying to South Carolina for an event to be held shortly after 11 a.m. in Charleston, the sources said. Obama is holding a "Rally for Change" at the College of Charleston ahead of the Democrats' South Carolina primary on Jan. 26.

Kerry's endorsement message will focus on Obama's ability to bring the country transformational change, the sources said.

Kerry, who had contemplated another run of his own this year, remains one of the Democratic Party's most popular figures, and gives Obama a big boost as he is trying to regain his momentum after finishing second to Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday.

When Kerry challenged Bush's reelection speculation was hot and heavy that the Clinton machine would work behind the scenes to sabotage the Kerry campaign.

It was no secret that the last thing that the Clintons wanted was a Democrat victory in 2004. That would have meant that Hillary could not run in 2008 and by 2012 it is likely that she will be too old to be elected by our youth and beauty worshiping culture.

While I am not aware of any example of the Clinton machine working overtly to undermine Kerry most observers believe that there absolutely were covert acts which harmed Kerry. No one would be better positioned to know just what they were (other than one of the Clintons) than Mr. Kerry himself.

Now Senator Kerry is indulging in a bit of payback. Good for him.
