There are things that John doesn't want you to be reminded of

Apparently John McCain lost his temper with a New York Times reporter today when she asked him uncomfortable questions about a 2004 meeting which he had with John Kerry. It seems that Kerry and his people were considering finding a liberal Republican to share the ticket with Kerry. Naturally the first name they came up with was John McCain since he was already a Democrat in everything but name. In fact one version of the story, the one I believe*, has it that it was McCain who approached Kerry.

However it happened when the story originally broke McCain lied through his teeth and denied it. Even if Kerry did ask McCain it still doesn't speak well of the Arizona Senator that Kerry looked over the Republican field and decided that McCain was the Republican most likely to run as a Democrat.

This incident is useful for two reasons. One it reminds everyone that the Republican party really doesn't have a candidate in this race. There are three Democrats seeking the White House and one of them is just a little less left-wing than the other two, in some ways.

Two is that it shows how McCain starts to come unglued when the liberal media does anything but fawn over him. He sold his soul to these people. He betrayed his nation, his state and his party by aiding them in forwarding their left-wing agenda rather than the agenda of the people of Arizona or the Republican party. He fully expected that they would continue helping him win the White House. However now that he is standing in the way of even more "progressive" candidates they are out to destroy him.

Some particularly mindless Republicans (Sean Hannity, for example) will rally to his defense just because the MSM is attacking him. Those people are known as the "ones who are part of the problem rather than part of the solution".

But you can rest assured that I, Lemuel Calhoon, will never drink the McCain kool-aid. This blog will always speak the truth about Crazy John and his slightly more left-wing opponents.

*I believe that it was McCain who approached Kerry rather than the other way around because I don't believe that Kerry would have sought out an unstable narcissistic prima donna with a volcanic temper who would have looked at the entire Kerry administration as nothing but a launching pad for his own presidential run. There are, after all, some things too stupid for even John Kerry to do them.
