Who does he sound like?

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cast doubt Wednesday over the U.S. version of the Sept. 11 attacks, calling it a pretext used to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

Although Iran has condemned the 2001 al-Qaida attacks on New York and Washington in the past, this was the third time in a week that Ahmadinejad questioned the death toll, who was behind the attacks and how it happened.

"Four or five years ago, a suspicious event occurred in New York. A building collapsed and they said that 3,000 people had been killed but never published their names," Ahmadinejad told Iranians in the holy city of Qom.

Under this pretext, the U.S. "attacked Afghanistan and Iraq and since then a million people have been killed only in Iraq," Ahmadinejad said in the speech broadcast live on state-run television.

On the last anniversary of the attacks, the names of 2,750 victims killed in New York were read aloud at a memorial ceremony.

Last year, Ahmadinejad raised questions over the attacks, saying "what caused it, what were the conditions that led to it, who truly was involved" needed to be examined.

Ahmadinejad has said the attack was a result of "mismanaging and inhumane managing of the world by the U.S." and the attack should not be turned into another Holocaust "used for slaughtering people."

Although Iran has condemned the U.S. invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, the campaigns toppled the Taliban and Saddam Hussein, two regional threats to Iran.

Forget being angry at the little nutjob for a minuet and think about this. Other than questioning the death toll how is what Ahmadinejad is saying really any different than what Michael Moore (who was allowed to share Jimmy Carter's box at the last Democrat convention) and other homegrown 9/11 "truthers" are saying?

People who have no substantial disagreement with the insane leader of Iran were heavily involved with the presidential campaigns of Ron Paul, the ass-clown, and Smeagol - otherwise known as Dennis Kucinich.

Does anyone wonder why B. Hussein Obama is holding onto his lead over Mrs. Clinton in the national polls and may be cutting into her lead in Pennsylvania even after all the contraversy over his pastor's insane racist hate filled spewings and his statement to the effect that the hillbillies cling to guns, Jesus and racism because they are bitter that the government doesn't spend enough money on them?

The answer is that in the Democrat primary it is Democrats that the candidates have to appeal to and Obama's views fall squarely within the mainstream of the Democrat party's left-wing base. And if we look closely we will see that the Democrat party's left-wing base sees America in pretty much the same terms as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Osama bin Laden.

Like it or not a major portion of the Democrat party, the controlling part of the Democrat party, has aligned itself with our nation's enemies during a time of war. That used to be called treason. Now the left is trying to define it as the "highest form of patriotism" (which would have made Lord Haw Haw the King's most loyal subject during WWII).

And the supreme tragidy is that the Republican party has a candidate who would leave the party so badly damaged that it probably could never win another national election.

I honestly do fear that God has abandoned the USA.
