Speaking ill of the evil

Reader Marvin who blogs at Marvin's World had this to say about my post about Ted Kennedy's recent health crisis and trip to the hospital:

folks, apparently your parents did a poor job of
raising you.

If you can not say something nice - be silent,
especially when the person you are talking about is ill.

I do not like Sen Kennedy politics, but I do not wish
him harm.

Normally I would agree with Marvin. If Ted Kennedy were simply a fellow private citizen then mocking him in his sick bed would be bad form indeed. However Kennedy is not a private citizen. He is a member of the United States Senate and not only that he is a leader in his party.

Mr. Kennedy, as a left-liberal, advocates using the coercive power of the federal government to steal the wealth and liberty of the American people. He wishes to grow that class of worthless parasites who feed off the productive energy of hard working Americans. He wishes to trap as many of his fellow citizens as possible in a state of dependence upon government handouts so as to grow and make more secure his personal political power and that of his malignant class.

In other words Mr. Kennedy has, by his own freely chosen attitudes and actions, removed himself from the society of civilized free human beings and rendered himself, in a moral sense, outlaw. Beyond the protections of polite society.

Creatures like Ted Kennedy are malignant tumors upon the human race and it is not simply allowable for decent people to kick them when they are down but is an actual moral duty.

Some say that we should only say something good about someone like Kennedy when he is ill. Very well, Ted Kennedy is sick and perhaps dying. Good.
