Fatboy Dim spouts off

Sometime you really have wonder at what cost some are willing to see their political ideology advanced.

To liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, the bounds are seemingly endless. Moore has made a recent career out of attacking President George W. Bush, bashing conservatives and criticizing business. His latest outrage occurred on MSNBC’s August 29 “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” and when he commented about the coincidental timing of an unfortunate disaster – the potential for Hurricane Gustav to make landfall at the beginning of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn.

“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven,” Moore said, laughing. “To have it planned at the same time – that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the Mississippi River.”

It seems that God has chosen not to answer Fatboy's prayers and is going to spare New Orleans. This is fine with me because NO is my favorite vacation spot.

I know that the people of the Gulf Coast have more to worry about now than the verbal diarrhea of this disgusting sack of crap but I wonder how they will react when they do have a minute to catch up on the news and find that Dim wants them to lose all they own, if not their very lives, just to make Bush look bad.

We also note that it isn't just God who is raining on Fatboy's parade. The response from the federal government and the state of Louisiana have been exemplary (isn't it wonderful what can be accomplished when there's no Democrat governor dragging her feet out of fear that the Republican president will look good?).

Bobby Jindal is providing an example of what a competant governor looks like in action and George W Bush and his FEMA team are demonstrating that they can learn from experience and not make the same mistakes twice.

Added to this is the fact that McCain and Palin have turned the Republican convention into what amounts to a fundraising telethon for disaster relief.

Let us all say a prayer for the people of the Gulf Coast as they cope with this calamity and while we are at it let's remember to thank Him that the grownups are in charge.
