Be careful what you wish for

I'm going to say something critical of Sean Hannity so first let me give credit where credit is due. Sean Hannity was one of the three people (the others being Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber) who almost succeeded in dragging John McCain across the finish line.

However Mr. Hannity said something on his radio show yesterday which was just plain stupid.

Sean said that he really doesn't thing that President Obama will be successful, but that he wishes him success. I know that he is trying to show himself as being superior to the Democrats who fell into Bush Derangement Syndrome however he really needs to think about what he is wishing for.

Barack Obama is an extreme left-wing socalist who wants to remake America into a place the Founders would not recognize.

For the good of the country I hope he fails utterly! I hope there is a backlash so bad that when Obama leaves office in four years America is more conservative than it has ever been in its history!

I'm sure that what Hannity actually meant was that he hopes that Obama will not be the man that his past histroy and associations reveal him to be. I wish for this as well. I wish that the real Obama will turn out to be the man who campaigned for office on the promise of sweeping tax cuts and that he will govern from the center like Bill Clinton mostly did and that the nation will prosper economiacally like it did during Clinton's time in office.

However wishing is good time wasted and there is very little hope that Obama will turn out to be anything other than the kind of man who would take pleasure in the company of men like Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright, that is a blood enemy of the United States.

By the way, as long as we're talking about talk radio Mark Levin had the best response to the elections on his show last night.

And still on the subject of talk radio I did not watch any of the election coverage on TV. Instead I listened to Levin's show on Sirius radio which led into Cam and Company and their NRA radio show. That was the best election coverage I've ever experienced. Even though the news was mostly bad it was still very well done. That is how I will spend all my upcoming election nights.
