Michelle Malkin has a post up called, "HATE COUTURE: THE KEFFIYEH CRAZE", in which she presents photographs and commentary on the fashion trend among the left of wearing the Islamic head scarf.
I found this picture especially striking. Here we see a woman who has voluntarily wrapped herself in the symbol of the cruel oppression of women in Muslim countries. NOT as some kind of protest against that oppression, but as a sign of solidarity with the oppressors!
I think that this comes back to the Left's self-loathing, a topic which I've been writing about lately.
What else would cause a modern, Western, emancipated woman to identify with the savages who are brutalizing her sisters in the Middle East?
