How do the moderates differ from the militants?

When this was posted at Shooting the Messenger I told Fits that it was too good not to steal.

The main difference between moderate Islam and militant Islam is that militants believe that they can force the West to submit to sharia by bombing, shooting hijacking and attacking with weapons of mass destruction.

Moderates, on the other hand, believe that the West can be forced to submit to sharia by immigrating in large numbers to Western nations and having lots of children so that they become the majority and vote in a theocratic dictatorship.

In both cases the goal is the same. To turn England, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain and all the other EU nations, and ultimately the United States as well into a carbon copy of Saudi Arabia or Iran.
