Why they REALLY don't want you to watch

The New York Post is reporting that even at this late date Bill Clinton is attempting to get the ABC mini-series The Path To 9/11 pulled from the air:

September 10, 2006 -- Bill Clinton's camp yesterday demanded that ABC can its controversial film "The Path to 9/11," due to air tonight - and in a scathing new letter accused the network of exploiting the tragedy for ratings.

This is after the network agreed to edit the mini-series to remove the more damning scenes (which the Clinton camp falsely claim are inaccurate).

It occurs to me that there is another reason which the left doesn't want this mini-series to air besides protecting the house of cards which is the Clinton legacy.

The left doesn't want the American people to see The Path to 9/11 because in the mini-series the true villains are shown to be the Islamofascist terrorists who planed and executed the strikes. The left does not want the US electorate focused on the evil nature of the enemy we face and the evil acts which they are capable of carrying out this close to an election.

There are indications that the sweep of House races which the Democrat Party was counting on to put them back in control of at least one chamber of the legislature may not play out the way they have been hoping for. On top of this there are some hints that they may even lose some seats in the Senate.

The American public is starting to pay attention to the election and are starting to really consider what the consequences of their vote will be. When the public engages their rational thought processes to evaluate the parties the Democrats always lose, and they know it.

Yes, the Republicans have been disappointing in many ways, however the Democrats do not present a more attractive alternative. The Jackass Party has learned nothing from its decade plus out of power. They are even more in the pocket of the radical, lunatic fringe than at any time since 1968. Where Democrat leaders were looking for the kind of gains they got in the aftermath of Watergate, they may wind up with the kind of loss they were handed by the disastrous McGovern debacle.

The reason for this is that the American people know that the Democrat Party cannot be trusted with the defense of the nation in a time of war. Even those people who have bought the mainstream media's lie that things are falling apart in Iraq understand that cutting and running is simply not an option. The war must be prosecuted through to a successful conclusion. The Democrats will not do this. Their "strategy" consists of finding the correct language to fool the electorate into thinking that surrender and victory are the same thing.

Sorry guys, Orwell died some time back and he was the only one well enough versed in Newspeak to pull that off.

The Path to 9/11, whatever it does or doesn't say about Bill Clinton and his inner circle of kool-aid drinking sycophants, will focus the public on the World War which the US is currently locked into. That cannot help but harm Democrat chances this November.

UPDATE:

If what I saw tonight was the watered down version I would have loved to have seen the uncut edition.

My favorite part? After Sandy Berger tells George Tenant that he will not Ok the operation to caputre Osama Tenant responds; "So if anything goes wrong it all comes down on my head like Janet Reno at Waco. The buck stops down the hall."
