Fred the lobbyist

Now that Fred Thompson is becoming the leader in the Republican primary race the Democrat Party's propaganda organs (otherwise known as the mainstream media) is fishing for dirt on him. One of the early attempts to fling mud at him is going to consist of "exposing" the fact that he has worked as a lobbyist.

John Hinderaker at Powerline has taken this on and pretty well nuked it. Go over and have a look if you want the straight scoop on Thompson's lobbying activities.

For my money anyone who works to promote nuclear power is A-OK.

If this is the best they can do they might as well get used to saying "President Thompson".
