Tales of the Gun

You may have noticed a new banner ad on my sidebar. It will take you to the History Channel store where you can order the DVDs of the excellent series Tales of the Gun.

In case you missed it when it aired Tales of the Gun documented the history and development of the firearm from the invention of gunpowder to the present day and looked forward to likely future developments.

Installments of the series covered such topics as the M-16 assault rifle, The Guns of the Civil War, The Guns of Smith and Wesson, Guns of Infamy (such as the revolver which was used to assassinate Gandhi), and The Guns of Colt.

Since a lot of the people who read this blog are gun nuts - sorry firearms aficionados - I know that this is something that many of you will find interesting.
