Saturday Morning Cartoon

Disney's Underdog, a live action version of which ran in the late 60's through the early 70's, opens this weekend. For those of us old enough to remember the cartoon the real Underdog this is viewed with a great deal of scepticism. However since the Underdog cartoon was banned from television some years ago the younger crowd will have never seen it. For them this live action movie will be the only Underdog they've ever been exposed to.

To acquaint people with what the real Underdog is supposed to look like and to give us oldsters a walk down memory lane here are all four episodes, plus opening theme, of one of the best Underdog cartoons, "The Phoney Booths" which features the best Underdog villain Simon Bar Sinister and his evil henchman Cad.

The opening theme from the syndicated version.

Part 1, each Underdog cartoon was divided into four episodes and interspersed with other shorts like The World of Commander McBragg.

Part 2.

Part 3.

Part 4.

Closing Credits.

Underdog trivia question. What was the one episode in which Underdog did not speak in rhyme?
