West Virginia has spoken

The primary results are in from West Virginia. On the Democrat side it appears that the night belongs to Hillary. With 83% of the Precincts reporting Clinton has 67% of the vote to Obama's 26%. A 41% blowout of a lead is even better than the few Clinton supporters still left were expecting.

Also interesting were the Republican results. With 100% of the Precincts reporting Huckabee has 52% of the vote, Romney has 47% and McCain has 1%.

Way to sew up that base Crazy John.

I know that Obama is a simpleton and a far-left loon, but if McCain can't even get his own party to vote for him he doesn't have much of a chance of winning.

Obama just may be the luckiest man in the world.

UPDATE: The source for these numbers is ABC. Here is a link.

UPDATE II: No joy. The numbers from ABC seem to be badly in error. According to CNN McCain won West VA with 76% of the vote with Huckabee second with 10% and Paul third with 5%. Not as good as 1% but this is still not great news for McCain.

It seems that the true results for West Virginia mirror those of NC and Indiana in that McCain still can't get the support of around a quarter of Republicans. Add to this the poll that Sean Hannity referred to yesterday which shows Obama beating McCain among independents and Hillary tied with McCain among independents and it would seem that McCain has a real problem.

The next question is why would ABC report the primary results the way they have. If McCain were a Republican I would put it down to the MSM screwing with him in the same way they reported that Gore had won Florida back in 2000 - while Bush was ahead in counted voted and the polls in the heavily Republican panhandle were still open.

But the mainstream media only does that kind of thing to Republicans.
