That means that YOU are listening!
The good news: DNA testing has confirmed that John Edwards is not the father of Rielle Hunter's baby.
The bad news: The father is Bill Clinton.
Ha ha -- just kidding! It's almost impossible to get pregnant by having the type of sex Bill Clinton prefers.
Also, by now, everyone has heard the news that Edwards' mistress, Rielle Hunter, has refused to grant a paternity test.
I wonder if Edwards knew that when he was making his chesty offer to take a paternity test? Edwards gushed to ABC's Bob Woodruff: "I would welcome participating in a paternity test, be happy to participate in one ... happy to take a paternity test and would love to see it happen."
As Edwards knows, our paternity laws were written by Gloria Steinem, so if the mother doesn't want a paternity test, it can't happen. So when Woodruff asked if he was going to actually take the paternity test soon, Edwards quickly noted, "I'm only one side of the test."
With Rielle in on the scam, Edwards could boldly demand a paternity test and then self-righteously defend his mistress's decision to refuse a paternity test. How dare you gainsay this woman's right to her privacy! Because if there's one person who's gone the extra mile to keep Hunter from becoming a public figure, it's John Edwards.
Edwards is closely following the Kennedy model of responding to charges of misconduct. First, admit only as much as can be currently proved. Second, get the other party to block any further investigation. I guess he really is "Kennedy-esque"!
For example, when the cops found DNA on the murdered body of Martha Moxley in Greenwich, Conn., the Kennedy suspect, Michael Skakel, suddenly remembered he had been up in a tree that night masturbating! (Talk about a tree-hugger.) You can see how something like that could slip your mind.
After Teddy Kennedy plunged his car off the Chappaquiddick Bridge with Mary Jo Kopechne in it and then failed to report the accident for nine hours, Kennedy admitted he had driven off the bridge -- but said he was in a state of shock for the next nine hours, preventing him from reporting the submerged car with a woman trapped in it.
Indeed, Kennedy was so disoriented he was barely able to dream up a highly unlikely alibi.
The historical parallel to Edwards' pincer move with Rielle Hunter is that Kennedy ostentatiously demanded a full investigation –- while the Kopechne family stoutly objected to an autopsy of their daughter.
According to Senatorial Privilege: The Chappaquiddick Cover-up by Leo Damore, the evidence suggested that Kopechne died gasping for breath in the car while Teddy Kennedy was busy trying to convince various people to say that they were driving his car.
There were lots of houses nearby with lights on, but Kennedy avoided them after he escaped from the car, so he could sneak back to his hotel undetected and begin establishing an alibi. Evidently, Kennedy is better than Edwards at sneaking into and out of hotels.
If Mary Jo had suffocated, then she had been alive for hours after the car plunged into the water. But an autopsy was required to determine whether Kopechne had drowned or suffocated.
Both the coroner and the diver who retrieved Mary Jo's body from the car believed Mary Jo had suffocated, not drowned. The diver found her body contorted in the back of the submerged car as if she had been trying to press her face into the last air pocket in the car. The coroner concluded there wasn't enough water in Mary Jo's body to indicate a drowning.
But for the first time in Massachusetts history, no autopsy was performed in a possible manslaughter case. Mary Jo was buried within about an hour of her body being pulled out of the channel under the Chappaquiddick Bridge.
Naturally, Kennedy wanted a thorough investigation -- to clear his name! -- but the Kopechnes absolutely refused to consent to an autopsy of their daughter. What more could he do? The Kopechnes' lawyer, Joseph Flanagan, refused to say who was paying him to fight the autopsy.
Similarly, Edwards aggressively offered to take a paternity test, knowing that the New Age hippie chick who still thinks she's going to marry him would not hurt him by allowing a paternity test. Edwards certainly is adept at reading stupid women, or as his campaign called them, "the base."
Democrats are always claiming to have the Kennedy magic, but, once again, another Kennedy-wannabe falls short. To be a real Kennedy, John, you have to kill her.
Once again Miss Ann shows her gift for helping us to laugh at those "you either have to laugh or cry" situations.
All of this comedy surrounding Edwards and his bimbo mistress and his bastard daughter would be a great deal more fun if he had been the Democrat nominee. However there never was any chance of that happening. The fact is that the only thing which prevented Edwards from being the primary season's comedy relief was the presence of Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Next to the Ass Clown (remember when posting "ass clown" and Ron Paul in the same paragraph would generate at least 20 comments from Paul's booger eating pod people followers) and Smeagol even a vapid empty-suit pretty-boy metrosexual like The Breck Girl could look sort of like someone you might think about maybe taking seriously, if maybe you had enough to drink.
The current Mrs. Edwards has incurable cancer. When the day comes when The Breck Girl is no longer married the moment of truth will come when the mistress will expect to become the wife. If Edwards isn't prepared to deliver the expected wedding ring then the bimbo will produce a DNA test proving that Edwards is the father and do not think for one minute that Rielle Hunter does not have samples of Edwards DNA in her freezer and that she hasn't already had the tests done to verify the child's paternity.
The Breck Girl's failure to use a condom has handed Hunter a lifetime meal ticket and she is giving every indication that she is ready, willing and able to cash it in.

I'm suspicious
So The Breck Girl has come out and admitted that he cheated on his dying wife by having an affair with a woman who he met in a bar. A woman who he hired at high pay to produce "documentaries" for his campaign website, even though she had no experience doing such things.
I smell a rat.
And I blame Ann Coulter.
I mean you have a man who obviously takes more care with his appearance than the average fashion model and who acts even more prissy than a certain blogger from Florida. His friggin' nickname is The Breck Girl.
Then Miss Ann comes along and implies that he is a "faggot".
So of course he goes out and picks up some bimbo in a bar and has an affair with her and makes her his mistress and hires her to work for the campaign so that she can travel with him - just like the Democrat party's icon of alpha male heterosexuality Bill Clinton would have done.
He even gets a male staffer to claim that he was the one having the affair with said bimbo - just like the Democrat party's icon of The Big Lie Bill Clinton would have done.
The Breck Girl even knocks up his mistress, which is more than even Bill Clinton ever did. As an aside that may have been more than Bill Clinton was capable of doing. There is a persistent rumor that Bill isn't even Chelsea's father. But back to the Breck Girl.
As I said I'm suspicious.
It is very hard to look at the Breck Girl and listen to the Breck Girl and believe that he would have the slightest interest in fathering a child, at least in a way that didn't involve the intervention of a doctor with a turkey baster.
Maybe Edwards staffer really was the one who knocked up the bimbo so that his boss could stay in that nice comfy closet.
Do I have any evidence. Not really, but just look at the Breck Girl and tell me you aren't suspicious too.
I used to have a photograph of Edwards holding a shovel in some kind of Katrina relief photo op but I must have deleted it. Even though he was supposed to be out there in the 95 degree heat working hard to help clear the debris as the first step to rebuilding New Orleans he didn't have a drip of sweat on his brow and every hair was in place.
But I can't find that picture so I had to substitute this picture of Mr. Edwards eating some local ethnic food during a campaign event from back when he was running for vice president.

The Breck Girl speaks
From The New York Times:
At a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Wednesday evening, John Edwards endorsed Barack Obama, who was on the stage with him, to be the Democratic nominee for president.
Sounding a theme of a nation divided into parts by walls, Mr. Edwards said, “The reason I am here tonight is that Democratic voters in America have made their choice and so have I.”
Mr. Edwards then went on to say, “There is one man who knows in his heart that it is time to tear down that wall and make one America, Barack Obama.”
Mr. Obama, who had introduced Mr. Edwards as “one of the great leaders we have in the Democratic Party, ” responded by saying he was grateful to him for coming to Michigan and giving his endorsement.
Mr. Obama also noted how Mr. Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, had emphasized health care as an issue that is of primary concern, then said it would be a major issue in his administration.
The endorsement comes at a time when the appeal of Mr. Obama appears to be lagging among white, blue-collar voters, a group to which Mr. Edwards openly appealed.
Mr. Edwards’s endorsement also brings in tow 19 convention delegates he won in early party selections. He could certainly urge them to give their support to Mr. Obama, though they would not be obligated by party rules to do so.
Drudge is speculating that the Dem ticket will be Obama/Edwards.This is possible as it might help Obama in the South and since Edwards targeted his appeal to blue collar workers it might help Hussein with the "redneck vote".

The Breck Girl's heart and soul
Rich Lowery nails the Breck Girl:
Knoxville, Iowa — John Edwards is angry, and he wants people to know it. Republicans complain of Democratic class warfare all the time. It’s usually an overwrought charge. But Edwards is the real thing. His message is resentful, confrontational and paranoid, verging on the openly hateful. And Iowa audiences are loving it.
Edwards is like a stand-up comedian who has honed his act down to the most effective material. In the case of the comedian, all that’s left is laughs; in the case of Edwards, almost all that is left is unbridled hostility. His campaign pitch is a well-polished mailed fist aimed at the gut of the establishment, defined by Edwards as heartless, money-grubbing corporations.
“This corporate greed is killing the middle class, killing American jobs and it is stealing your children’s future,” Edwards tells a rapt crowd of a couple hundred people in the lobby of a high school here.
The reason we don’t have universal health coverage, according to Edwards, is “very simple” — the drug companies and insurance companies oppose it. In fact, everything is “very simple” to him. In his down-home Manichaean vision, dark corporate forces are responsible for everything he doesn’t like.
This is a worldview that doesn’t allow for legitimate differences of opinion. On the one side is “the glorification of corporate greed,” and on the other are the people willing to fight it — everyone in between is either a tool or a coward. Battle lines drawn, Edwards’s vision bristles with evocations of power. The people will have to wield the “sovereign power” of the country against corporations that will only “give their power away when we take their power away from them.”
The traction he’s been getting is a sign that Iowans weary of the lover Obama, have been drawn to the hater Edwards. The former North Carolina senator doesn’t invoke hate, but he comes close. He tells his audience FDR said that “those people who hate me, I enjoy their hate. Bring it on.” Hate me and I’ll hate you in return, Edwards seems to be saying.
If Obama talks of cross-partisan understanding, Edwards talks of revenge: “What we have to do with these people is we have to treat them exactly as they have treated you.” Which will have to be quite excoriating since corporations are supposedly impoverishing ordinary people and stealing their children’s future. Edwards assures the audience that his crusade isn’t driven by cool rationality, but by gut-level emotion: “It is very personal to me.”
It is rare indeed to hear a politician brag about his fistfights as a child as Edwards does to establish his credentials for the “epic fight” ahead. Persuasion and negotiations are anathema to him and he explicitly forswears them: “People say to me, as president of the United States I want you to sit at a table and negotiate with these people. Never.” He’s willing to talk to Iran, but not to Pfizer. One is only a terrorist-sponsoring enemy of the United States, after all, and the other is a drug company.
For all its populist grievance, Edwards has a certain conservative appeal based on filial piety. He brings up his grandparents and parents constantly, and frames his fight against corporations in terms of all the striving our forebears have done to secure a better future. He complains that the mill where his father worked has now closed. In a change election, Edwards sells a kind of nostalgia, as if fighting the corporations will end the capitalist churning that so discomfits his listeners.
Edwards is in the protectionist, us-versus-them tradition of Dick Gephardt and Pat Buchanan, populists who thrived in the Iowa caucuses and then sputtered out. Ultimately, Edwards offers a sectarian message with limited appeal to an upwardly mobile country that is richer and, for all the dissatisfaction with Washington, more content than when FDR was welcoming the hatred of plutocrats. But, for now, some Iowa Democrats are willing to give hate a chance.
The Breck Girl is a leftist who lacks the wit to pretend to be otherwise. This will allow him to appeal to a certain segment of the Democrat Party, but not to the nation at large. In fact his consistent third place standing in the Democrat primary polls shows that he can't even appeal to the Democrat Party at large.
The fact that he spews pure hatred comes at no surprise. That is the fuel which has powered all movements of the political left, from Lenin's Bolsheviks to Hitler's Nazis.

The Breck Girl's stupidity and hypocracy
Grew to even more massive levels with this:
A UNC-Chapel Hill professor says John Edwards' staff tried to kill a student's video story.
The professor, retired political reporter Leroy Towns, writes on the journalism school's Talk Politics blog that the Edwards' campaign demanded a student journalist take down the video she had posted on YouTube.
The video focuses on Edwards' campaign headquarters in Chapel Hill's affluent Southern Village. It includes an interview with a columnist for the Daily Tar Heel, the UNC-CH student paper, who criticizes the location as contradictory to Edwards' advocacy for the poor.
The segment had been produced for the school's Carolina Week television program, but student Carla Babb posted it online as an entry in an MTV contest.
Edwards staffers then tried to persuade the professor to kill the story, Towns writes. He declined.
Towns writes the experience was instructive:
"The Carolina Week staff learned the importance of standing their ground against a disgruntled source, even when that source is a candidate for president. PR students saw firsthand how a public relations mistake can turn a small non-story into a potential national story. Very instructive."
Here is the offending video:
You litterally can't make this stuff up. Once again the candidate running on the "I know what it is to be po'" platform can't pry himself away from the most exclusive, elite and snooty section of the most upper class enclave he can find.

The Breck Girl is STRAIGHT! Who'd a thunk it?
From The National Enquirer:
Presidential candidate John Edwards is caught in a shocking mistress scandal that could wreck his campaign, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.
Sources have come forward to charge that the "other woman" previously worked on Edwards' campaign and followed the 54-year-old candidate on trips across the U.S.
A source close to the woman, whose name is being withheld by The NATIONAL ENQUIRER, says that she confessed to having an affair in phone calls and emails, saying that her work with Edwards soon exploded into romance. The shocking allegation — if proven true — could devastate the Democratic hopeful's campaign, especially because John's devoted wife Elizabeth is locked in a desperate battle with breast cancer.
"The affair started about 18 months ago," a friend says the woman confessed to her. "When they met at a bar, sparks flew immediately.
"She never expected it would turn sexual since John is married and is running for President. But it soon did — and she fell for him."
In one bombshell e-mail message provided to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER, the woman confesses to a friend she's "in love with John," but it's "difficult because he is married and has kids."
In another e-mail, she writes: "Last night and this a.m., he actually has amazed me. He is a great man. My heart is loud and my head is silenced."
Disclosed her friend: "She initially confided in a few of her closest pals that she was sleeping with 'a married man named John.'
"It became clear the married man was John Edwards. They got together whenever they could, mostly at hotels where Edwards and his campaign staff stayed."
The woman later spelled it out in a phone call to her pal and talked openly about having an affair with Edwards.
The friend says the woman told her that she "had a crush on John. One thing led to another, and they soon ended up in bed together. But she knew there was no way he was going to leave Elizabeth, a wife battling cancer."
The ex-Senator's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. This past March, the couple announced her cancer had returned, but said his campaign would continue.
His spokesman said that allegations Edwards had an affair are "false, absolute nonsense."
The woman's friend told The NATIONAL ENQUIRER: "As the affair went on, she said that both she and John began to feel real guilty and they decided to end it."
The ENQUIRER made exhaustive but unsuccessful attempts to reach the woman for comment regarding this article but she would not return phone calls or emails or come to the door of the house where she is staying.
Scoff at the Enquirer all you want, they have a very strong history of being right about this kind of thing.
Not that this matters. The Breck Girl was merely comedy relief for the Democrat side of the primary race.

Who is the only Democrat with he guts to take on MoveOn.org
Ben Smith posts this on The Politico:
Not sure it's really meant that way, but in any case, Elizabeth Edwards makes hers the first campaign to directly criticize MoveOn.org's "General Betray Us" ad, breaking with the Democrats' strategy of, basically, ignoring it.“Someone who’s spent their life in the military doesn’t deserve ‘General Betray Us,’” said Edwards, wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
In the first place Mrs. Edwards is correct. I draw your attention to the fact that her tepid criticism is the only denunciation of MoveOn's despicable action from any Democrat campaign so far.
But the interesting thing is that this is only the latest case in which the Breck Girl has put his wife out front when there was a battle to be fought. What if there was another 9/11 type terrorist attack during an Edwards presidency? Would Mrs. Edwards be put in charge of formulating the nation's response?

The moon must be full cause the moonbats are barking
TIPTON, Iowa - Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards said on Sunday that his universal health care proposal would require that Americans go to the doctor for preventive care.
"It requires that everybody be covered. It requires that everybody get preventive care," he told a crowd sitting in lawn chairs in front of the Cedar County Courthouse. "If you are going to be in the system, you can't choose not to go to the doctor for 20 years. You have to go in and be checked and make sure that you are OK."
He noted, for example, that women would be required to have regular mammograms in an effort to find and treat "the first trace of problem." Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, announced earlier this year that her breast cancer had returned and spread.
Edwards said his mandatory health care plan would cover preventive, chronic and long-term health care. The plan would include mental health care as well as dental and vision coverage for all Americans.
"The whole idea is a continuum of care, basically from birth to death," he said.
It can be fun watching them try to out-moonbat one another.
At this point the Breck Girl has to know that she doesn't stand a chance in hell of getting the nomination. This is either a bid to be Hillary's running mate or a pure vanity run.
I'm betting on a vanity run because Edwards is simply too stupid to know how stupid he is making himself look.

Breck Girl Update
Hillbilly White Trash has obtained a rough copy of John Edward's latest campaign commerical. The ad will highlight Edward's concern for the young and his diplomatic skills as well as remind everyone of the attacks the former North Carolina senator has endured from the right-wing hate machine.
The ad will begin airing in key early primary states over the Labor Day holiday.

Wisdom, its from the wise!
ABC News' Teddy Davis Reports: Either you love her or you don't -- that’s how former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., summed up Hillary Clinton -- his Democratic presidential rival -- during a Wednesday appearance on MSNBC's "Hardball."
In a wide ranging discussion Mr. Edwards also said "you either like onions on your hamburger or you don't", "you either like the way scotch whiskey tastes or you don't", "you either like your eggs over easy or you don't". Then the former senator wandered off into a 45 minute dissertation on hair care.

The Breck Girl steps in it again
Proving once again that he is both a wretched hypocrite and dumb as a box of rocks:
August 3, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - John Edwards, who yesterday demanded Democratic candidates return any campaign donations from Rupert Murdoch and News Corp., himself earned at least $800,000 for a book published by one of the media mogul's companies.
The Edwards campaign said the multimillionaire trial lawyer would not return the hefty payout from Murdoch for the book titled "Home: The Blueprints of Our Lives."
The campaign didn't respond to a question from The Post about whether it was hypocritical for Edwards to take money from News Corp. while calling for other candidates not to.
In addition to a $500,000 advance from HarperCollins, which is owned by News Corp., Edwards also was cut a check for $300,000 for expenses.
Edwards claimed $333,334 in royalties from last year's release of the book, according to media accounts. The campaign said last night that those funds were part of the advance.
It boggles the mind to contemplate just how stupid and greedy this little man is. While trying to run a presidential campaign based on his empathy for the poor he cannot bring himself to stop grubbing for every last dime nor can he resist wallowing in the kind of luxury that would have made a Byzantine aristocrat blush.
As things stand now the Breck Girl is good for a belly-laugh. If he there were actually any chance that he could get elected president the laughter would turn to blood-freezing horror.

The Breck Girl is very cross!
There is a video clip on youtube of the Breck Girl indignantly denouncing those of us who have been pointing out his cosmic hypocrisy in living in a giant mansion, flying around on private jets and getting $1,200.00 haircuts while running a presidential campaign on his supposed understanding of and compassion for the poor.
Apparently the Breck Girl thinks that we are trying to "shut him up" by "distracting" him from his important message:This stuff's not an accident. Nobody in this room should think this is an accident. You know, I'm out there speaking up for universal healthcare, ending this war in Iraq, speaking up for the poor. They want to shut me up. That's what this is about. "Let's distract from people who don't have health care coverage. Let's distract from people who can't feed their children.... Let's talk about this silly frivolous nothing stuff so that America won't pay attention."
They will never silence me. Never.
If we don't stand up to these people, if we don't fight em, if we don't beat them, they're going to continue to control this country. Thye're going to control the media. They're going to control what's being said. They do not want to hear us
talking about health care for everybody.
This is being presented as a spontaneous moment which someone just happened to capture with a camera phone or camcorder. In fact it is not. A boom microphone can be seen over the Breck Girl's head a couple of times and the identity of the person who uploaded the video has been revealed to be Tracy Joan Russo, a member of the Breck Girl's staff who is tasked with outreach to bloggers.
Obviously the Breck Girl feels the strain of simultaneously being a poster-boy for Lear jet liberalism and the presidential candidate who wants to connect with the "little guy" and is trying to stage his own distraction.
All he's really doing is drawing attention to his biggest negative.

Campaign 2008 Scorecard, part 2
Here is the second entry in the 2008 election scorecard.
Politician: John Edwards
Nickname: The Breck Girl

Reason: John Edwards is a vain man who takes great pride in his perfect hair. He has been in the habit of flying his favorite hair stylist to him wherever he happens to be on the campaign trail. The total bill for one of these haircuts exceeded $1200.00.
John Edwards is also dumb as a box of hammers. Who else would build an extravagant mansion so expensive that it forced his neighbors to sell out and move because they couldn't afford the increased property taxes and get thousand dollar haircuts while running a presidential campaign based on your compassion for the poor?
Makes you wonder what it is exactly that he's shoveling in that top picture.
John Edwards is a pretty face, but he is nothing else than a pretty face.
Here is a video clip that tells you everything that you need to know about the Breck Girl.
If you scratch the surface of John Edwards all you find underneath is more surface.
Nickname first used by: Rush Limbaugh

Debate woes for the jackass
From The Washington Post:
The Democratic presidential candidates will line a stage in Charleston, S.C., tonight for their first official debate.
And already, debate fatigue is setting in.
The Democratic contenders have taken part in three "unofficial" debates this year, on top of numerous other "forums" sponsored by various political constituencies. The schedule is only going to get more demanding: After tonight's debate, sponsored by CNN and YouTube and the first of six sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee, there will be a crush of events, culminating in one week in early August when unofficial debates are planned in Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles.
At the end of a recent gathering in Detroit sponsored by the NAACP, former senator John Edwards (N.C.) and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) were overheard discussing their desire to limit the number of participants in the process, as well as the number of debates themselves.
The conversation, which the two candidates appeared to think was private but was caught on an open microphone, captured what strategists, particularly in the top campaigns, have been saying privately all year. Other candidates outside the top tier, particularly Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (Ohio), blasted the discussion as a slight.
"Everyone is afraid to say no," said Democratic strategist Steve Elmendorf, who is backing Clinton but not working for the campaign.
Hillary is going to be the Democrat nominee. Unless someone comes forward with a video tape of her actually ordering the murder of one of those dead bodies which have followed the Clintons through their political career she is going to be on the top of the Democrat ticket in November.
What is going on now is that the Breck Girl and B. Hussein Obama are competing against each other to be her choice for vice president so neither of them will do anything to really damage Hillary. However the third tier candidates Smeagol and Biden (who is such a nonentity that he doesn't even rate a degrading nickname) are just up there for the attention. And this is what makes them dangerous to Hillary. If they can score some points against her that puts them on the front page for a day or two, maybe even gets them talked about on the Sunday shows.
