We hear rumors

There is a rumor that Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff is set to announce his resignation. Apparently Mr. Chertoff canceled a speech which he was to deliver today due to a summons from the White House.

Secretary Chertoff has taken heat for what many believe to have been government mistakes in the wake of hurricane Katrina. It is being speculated that his resignation will dampen criticism of the administration.
